Kymbra & Devan’s Wedding: A Destination Love Story With a Kokomo Twist
Some weddings don’t just touch your heart — they sit in your memory like a soft echo. Not because they were extravagant, but because every choice felt intentional.
Kymbra and Devan’s wedding was one of those stories.
Their celebration carried them from the mountains of Gatlinburg back home to Kokomo — two worlds held together by love, family, and a bride who knew exactly what she wanted. And honestly? That’s where the magic really began.
Hand-Picked Florals With a Personal Touch
Since the ceremony was out of state, Kymbra chose high-quality silk florals — the perfect solution for a traveling bride who still wants her flowers to look stunning in every setting.
But here’s what made her different:
She didn’t just pick a color palette.
She hand-picked every single flower.
And she didn’t stop there;
her bouquet handle was an actual Amethyst Crystal.
A real, raw crystal she chose herself from Fitz Design — meaningful, spiritual, and beautifully unique. It grounded the design, added a layer of symbolism, and turned her bouquet into something more than flowers.
It became a keepsake.
A moment.
A piece of her.
For Devan’s boutonniere, we attached a matching amethyst crystal, also from Fitz Design — a small but powerful detail that tied their designs together energetically, symbolically, and visually. A perfect pair, just like the two of them.
The attire
She selected every outfit for her bridal party and made sure I had all the details — the colors, textures, and tones — so the florals wrapped around her vision like the final stroke of a painting. She curated the elements, then trusted me to bring everything together.
It was collaborative.
It was thoughtful.
It was the kind of creative partnership florists dream about.

Back in Kokomo, the celebration continued with a reception that Kymbra and her mom designed together — and let me tell you, it had personality.
Two distinct guest-table looks.
One shared vision.
The décor blended:
• candles in layered heights
• floral accents tucked in just right
• skulls for a moody, romantic edge
• vintage-looking books arranged with intention
• and delicate cobwebs to finish the look
The room felt like walking into a storybook — a little mysterious, a little romantic, completely authentic.
Very “main character energy,” very “this is who we are,” very them.
All the staff at the Columbian Club were blown away by the uniqueness.

This wedding wasn’t about trends.
It wasn’t about Pinterest perfection.
It was about heart, collaboration, and choosing details that carried meaning.
Every piece came together because Kymbra and Devan were brave enough to build a wedding that felt like them — and trusted us to help tell that story.
