From Coolers to Castles: Macy’s Baroque Wedding Bloomed with Disney, Bridgerton, and a Touch of Magic

When Macy first walked into Banner Flower House, she didn’t have a theme — and honestly, that was just fine. Sometimes, all you need to start is the desire for beautiful flowers. With her fiancé David and her soon-to-be mother-in-law by her side, we gathered around the cooler and pulled blooms that spoke to her. From there, the vision began to take shape.

Through ongoing chats and lots of collaborative energy, Macy’s style slowly unfolded. What started as “just pretty flowers” blossomed into a theme that was uniquely her: a whimsical mix of Disney magic, Beauty and the Beast romance, and Bridgerton elegance — all wrapped in a rich, Baroque flair that Macy discovered and embraced as her own.

Together, we built a wedding aesthetic that told her love story with dramatic blooms, lush textures, and fairytale details. And the result? Pure enchantment.

The Ceremony Site

Inside Burlington Church of Christ, the aisle was lined with soft, romantic touches — clusters of white hydrangea tied to the first two pews of each row with simple tulle bows. With two aisles leading to the altar, the symmetry felt ceremonial, yet welcoming.

And here’s a fun detail we loved: Macey and David had their wedding invitations designed with tiny acrylic replicas of the church’s stained glass windows. A sweet nod to the place where their forever began.

As guests arrived at Burlington Church of Christ, they were greeted with soft white tulle flowing gently in the breeze — each post adorned with clusters of lush white hydrangea. Simple, romantic, and full of promise, it was our way of whispering welcome before the ceremony even began.

The Reception

A Reception That Felt Like a Fairytale Entrance

As guests stepped into Macey and David’s wedding reception, they weren’t just arriving at a party — they were stepping into a story.

At the entrance, we embellished their welcome sign with soft florals and trailing greenery to set the tone — romantic, graceful, and full of promise. Nearby, subtle scent diffusers filled the air with elegant floral notes that immediately transported guests into the world Macey envisioned.

From hidden speakers, the gentle sound of horses’ hooves echoed down cobblestone streets, layered with the distant murmur of a Parisian town square. It was pure ASMR bliss. And drifting above it all, the warm, familiar voice of Julie Andrews narrated select phrases, adding a regal, storybook touch that gave everyone chills.

This wasn’t just décor — it was experience design. And it gave guests their first taste of the magic to come.

A Grand Entrance, Draped in Romance

Banner Flower House dressed the venue’s staircase and poles with flowing swags of soft tulle, lush silk floral garlands, and elegant accents — creating a picture-perfect backdrop that felt straight out of a fairytale. We also adorned the bar with coordinating silk florals, tying the entire space together with cohesive, romantic detail. All of the silk blooms were part of our exclusive rental collection, allowing Macey and David to achieve a rich, luxurious look without the stress. Every corner was thoughtfully touched with beauty — even the ones serving champagne.

Here’s Where the Fun Really Began

This is where the magic—and the collaboration—really took off. Macey and I spent a lot of time bouncing ideas back and forth (okay, mostly Macey sending me her fabulous ideas), and I loved every minute of it. She had a clear vision for the reception: elegant, romantic, and full of personality. When she brought up candelabras, I knew we had our design anchor. From that moment on, we built the entire reception aesthetic around that spark—layering in lush florals, soft textures, and glowing candlelight to bring her dream to life.

To elevate the candelabras and give them a storybook foundation (literally), each one was set atop a vintage book or a small stack. Historical fairytale books from the 1800s—lovingly collected and provided by Macey—were scattered throughout the venue, adding a rich, romantic detail that made the entire space feel timeless.

The Sweetheart Table

A Table Fit for a Fairytale

For Macey and David’s sweetheart table, we created a cascading silk hydrangea garland that spilled gracefully to the floor. Behind them, we framed the couple with silk floral and greenery accents — all part of the Banner Flower House rental collection — to create a lush, romantic backdrop that felt both grand and intimate. In the center of their table, a low floral arrangement added just the right amount of softness and charm. Surrounding them, the attendants’ tables featured elevated fresh floral centerpieces filled with hydrangea, roses, and lush greenery — bringing height, movement, and a touch of garden elegance to the entire reception.

The Cake

A Cake Table with Heart and Heritage

The cake table was more than just a display — it was a piece of family history. Provided by the bride, this antique treasure once belonged to her grandmother, adding a layer of love and legacy to the celebration.

The cake itself, created by Dreams to Reality of Peru, Indiana, was beautifully showcased atop the heirloom table, surrounded by a soft floral meadow designed by Banner Flower House. We created a second floral meadow at the base of the table as well, grounding the entire moment in blooms and beauty. It was a sweet statement — in every sense of the word.

Macey’s Bouquet

Macey’s Bouquet: Soft, Romantic, and Utterly Dreamy

Macey carried a bouquet that was all about softness, movement, and timeless beauty. We blended peach Juliet garden roses with Sweet Eskimo pink roses, classic white roses, and fluffy white hydrangea. Lush foliage and delicate garden touches like larkspur helped carry the line and create that natural, just-picked feel — perfect for her Bridgerton-meets-Beauty-and-the-Beast vision.

It was romantic. It was graceful. It was so Macey.
